Where I've Been: Packing, Moving & New Life

Hi all! I've really missed blogging these past few weeks, and it makes me sad not to be able to post about all the things I'd like to lately; I've done some major hauls, tried quite a few new things, and I have many, many things in mind to write about.

However, as I've mentioned in a few previous blog posts, I'm in the process of moving and it's been such a stressful few weeks/will be a stressful upcoming month for me. I'm not in the right mindset to be planning out blog posts and I've got nowhere to take photos currently, so I'm putting blogging on a slight hold for the next little while as I get my life sorted in this hectic time.

In the last few weeks, I have anxiously packed away my old apartment on the beach, driven six hours to Ottawa, packed a few more things from my old bedroom at my parents' house, and as I write this, all of my current belongings are sitting in one giant pile ready to be taken, packed, and moved by the men in the uniforms. I've seen my old friends, I've tied up loose ends.

As I explained in my original 'moving house' blog post, my boyfriend is in the military and was just posted out to the Maritimes. He was flown over on a house hunting expedition, found a great apartment (brand new kitchen & appliances...hello!), so I am extremely excited to start fresh over there.

For anyone that enjoys my blog and has wondered why I've been missing, this is why! I hope you all stick with me and respect the little hiatus I've needed to take to get this large move sorted! I try to keep Instagram as current as possible, though again I've been rather occupied.

Photos of the apartment and my endeavour in furnishing it to come! I will be posting a lot of DIY and home decor in the upcoming months as I'll be doing a lot of thrift shopping, furniture hunting, and DIY-obsessing to get my new apartment as perfect as I can make it.

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer,

C, xx
